Interactive & Audio - Reflection
In this project I have explored many different ways of presenting my work. All of these involve using an interactive website or a podcast. I have also looked at a variety of different websites (e.g. Genially) and using them as ways to present my work. I've also learnt about what it takes to become a podcaster by not only recording our very own but also looking at the preparation for one by using Podcasts sheets.
I have embedded these skills into my project by taking my plans and using them to create an interactive website. I have even taken these skills and implemented them on my website as a way of getting my audience to interact with different elements of the website. In the project, I also learnt about QR Codes and how to create one from scratch which was then added to a 12 days of Christmas advent calendar I made. By doing this, it became a mystery to those who are scanning the codes in order to find the image behind it.
My technical strengths from this topic are that I've been able to create a plan which I can use to create any interactive website or podcast. I also find that I've been able to present a podcast without having to start over and over again. My personal strengths would be that I've managed to follow the simple instructions on how to create an interactive image via Genially and successfully implement them onto my own Interactive Image.
In the future, I will develop my skills by detailing my podcast plans as I've noticed that there have been a few instances where our commentary would feel rather stretched as we're coming up with other pieces of information from just the top of our heads in order to fulfil the runtime. By detailing the podcasts it gives out more specific information on what exactly to include and also allows us to note down any extra ideas as a way of getting our audience hooked.
On the first week back I had moved onto 'Visual'. This mostly focuses specifically on Photography and the first thing we covered was 'advertising'. We watched a few TV adverts and analysed what exactly it does to convince the reader to buy their product. After that we looked at two adverts of a product of our choice to then looked at how the company promotes them. On the Thursday, our teacher brought in a box and encouraged us to bring in an item from home which we can take photos of. This lead some photos of various objects but with a coloured backdrop.
